In this episode, I'm join by Andrew Scott, to interview the surviving members of the long running New Zealand free-noise/improv trio Eye. We talk about how they met, Jon's early days in Double Leopards and his move to NZ, Andrew's days growing up and seeing shows in NZ and then moving to the US, and Peter's early days of meeting the late Peter Stapleton. We also all talk about music improvisation, chasing the estatic mental state while playing, losing sense of time, etc. We also talk at length about Peter Stapleton's work and life, their work on the recent Eye recordings recently released by Carbon Records and Grapefruit Records, and having to take a break after losing Peter in 2020.
